The release of Baumgarten's major work in English marks a watershed in the study of the German Enlightenment. ![]() It’s been nearly three hundred years since the birth of Alexander Baumgarten, and in honour of this occasion we’re proud to be publishing Metaphysics: A Critical Translation with Kant’s Elucidations, Selected Notes and Related Materials, the first English translation of the most important textbook on metaphysics in the German tradition prior to Immanuel Kant. ![]()
